Writer: Lou HernándezLou Hernández

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and persistent

in your prayers for all believers

FEBRUARY 17-23

Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

Monday 17 Venue: At home/With family

LET’S PRAY FOR THE NEEDS IN PERSONAL LIFE, FAMILY, THE BODY

  • Healing/health

  • Comfort/bereavement

  • Salvation of family

  • General needs (finances/work/new life in Canada).

Scripture: Eph. 1:3-8

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us

with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united

with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in

Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to

adopt us into his own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.

He wanted to do this, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise

God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear

Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom

with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his

kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

LET’S PRAY FOR OUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

  • Growth in our intimacy with God

  • To live according to the Word of God

  • A revival in our prayer life

Scripture: Eph. 3:14-19

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God

LET'S PRAY FOR OUR CHURCHES

Lead Pastors

Staff, board

For God's people and Teachers

_________________________________________________________________________________

Scripture: Eph. 4:11-16

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the

prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility

is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of

Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and

knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up

to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be

immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind

of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with

lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in

love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of

his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As

each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that

the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

LET'S PRAY FOR AN OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • For Salvation

  • For passionate & joyful discipleship

  • For deeper praise & worship

 _________________________________________________________________________________

Scripture: Eph. 5:15-20

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are

wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act

thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be

drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the

Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among

yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give

thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY FOR OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD/OUTREACH/MISSIONS

  • Our neighbours by name

  • Our Community

    _______________________________________________________________________________

Scripture: Eph. 3:6-7; 10-11

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.

God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in

its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly

places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ

Jesus our Lord.

LET'S PRAY FOR MINISTRIES OF THE CHURCHES IN GENERAL

__________________________________________________________________________________

Scripture: Eph. 4:1-8

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy

of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and

gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s

faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united

in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one

body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope

for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and

Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. However, he has

given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. That

is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd

of captives and gave gifts to his people
